The neural link flares as the decision crystallizes—no debate, no hesitation. Rocky's secret burns between them like a live wire, but the tactical reality is clear: an unknown vessel on intercept course with a familiar frequency is the only variable they can control.

Phase 2: Launch Sequence

They launch.
The Village drops away beneath them—crystalline spires, the blue fire circle, the crystalline obelisk pulsing with failing temporal energy—shrinking to a jewel in the violet dark. Ahead, a shape resolves from the void-stars.

It's wrong. Not Hive-Titan organic architecture. Not Collective geometric perfection. This is human engineering—brutalist, scarred, held together by patches and prayer and something that screams desperation in its hull lines.

Fishll matches velocity with surgical precision, coming alongside the airlock. No docking clamps—just the skydrake's massive claws gripping hull metal, membranes sealing against the airlock ring.

Fishll: "Trace. Breathable. Stale."
The four disembark in sequence: Rocky first (he knows this ship), then Lemonaid covering, then the Noodlys flanking. Neural link humming at combat frequency.
Phase 5: Interior
Corridors narrow, lit by emergency strips. Dried fluids on bulkheads—blood, coolant, something darker. The ship's been lived in hard.

They reach the bridge. The pilot's chair faces forward, back to the door. A figure sits motionless—thin, pale, wired directly into the ship's systems via neural jacks at temples and wrists.

The figure's head turns. Slowly. The face is Rocky's—older, gaunt, one eye replaced by an optical sensor, skin stretched over cybernetic implants.
Future Rocky: "Impossible. I am Code 7-Alpha-Romeo."
